Now in its second year, the Catholic Song Contest is looking for sponsors who want to connect with, support, and award Catholic songwriters for their musical creations.
Sponsors provide non-cash awards to the contest winners and/or entrants and get their names or brands listed on the Catholic Song Contest website and in our email newsletters. Previous awards have been digital subscriptions to music production software and songwriting tools. We are open to any ideas you have.
There is also a Media Sponsor level where no prizes are given to contestants. Instead, this sponsorship is for bloggers, news agencies, and media outlets to have their brand associated with the contest in exchange for helping us spread the word.
All sponsors also have the option of being a judge of the entries and playing a larger role in the shaping of the future of Catholic music.
There are several levels of sponsorship available:
Grand Prize Sponsor
If you would like to award a grand prize to all three of the Grand Prize Winners:
- Best Liturgical Song or Hymn
- Best Christian Popular Song
- Best Secular Popular Song (informed by the writer’s Catholic faith)
So far a generous sponsor has already donated $500 gift cards to a musical instrument store to be awarded to these three winners. Another sponsor will be creating musical arrangements for each of these 3 winning songs that can be taken into a music studio to be sung over.

Category Prize Sponsor
In addition to the three Grand Prize winners, there will also be many Category Awards, such as:
- Best Song About Mary
- Best Song About a Saint or the Saints
- Best Song About a Sacrament or the Sacraments
- Best Adaptation of a Sung Mass Part (i.e. the Gloria, Kyrie, etc)
- Best Pro-Life Song
- Or, Create Your Own Award! There might be an aspect of the faith that you’d like to challenge songwriters to write about.

Gifts for All Entrants
Perhaps you have something you’d like to give all of our entrants to encourage or inspire them. Past gifts have included a month subscription to Masterwriter software.
Other ideas might be anything that does not have any inventory or shipping costs, like eBooks, other digital assets, or other software subscriptions. But we are open to all ideas you might have.

The 2022 Catholic Song Contest will start accepting entries on August 1, 2022 until November 26, the last day of the Liturgical Calendar. Judging will start at that time, and awards will be announced on January 6, 2023.
